The Japanese Gardens - Fort Worth Art Museum Engagement Session of Kelsey and Prabhat
November 26, 2022

My latest engagement session with the lovely Kelsey and Prabhat at the Fort Worth Botanical - Japanese Garden was so much fun. The dreamy and mystical setting was picked by the couple as a backdrop for their photo session and they couldn’t have chosen a more fitting scene. With its luscious foliage, rich ponds, cherry trees, Japanese maples and charming little bridges and traditional structures, the Japanese Garden provided the perfect set of backdrops for the romantic nature-themed engagement photo shoot and was just right for this couple.

Prabhat found his way to me through his sister Jyoti who was my client 7 years ago. I met Jyoti and her now husband Boaz in 2015 when they picked me to photograph their Dallas Hindu-Jewish fusion wedding. What mostly sticks in my memory of my work with the couple was the engagement session I did for them in San Francisco in some of its most remarkable sites like the Golden Gate Bridge and the bigger-than-life Redwoods national park with its majestic towering trees.

During this Sunday session, as in every engagement photo shoot, I got to know the bride and groom-to-be a little more closely. We chatted away as they posed, flirted, hugged and got to feel comfortable being intimate in my presence. As I always stress to the couples I work with, the engagement session is a great way to break the ice and get them to feel at ease around me and my camera before the wedding day. I remind them that on that day, I will be around the whole time capturing some of the most emotional moments of their lives, and what better way to build that all-important chemistry than a stroll through the winding paths around the garden’s landscapes with love in the air, stories to share and a camera to capture it all?

Kelsey and Prabhat are getting married in February 2023 at the Hindu temple in Irving, Texas and I can’t wait to capture the magic of their wedding day.

Here are few photos from our session at the Fort Worth Japanese Gardens. If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Dallas or for any destination, I invite you to look through my portfolio, the blog and the galleries on this site to see more examples and send me a note because I sure want to hear from you, get to know you and capture your wedding.
